I know you’ve heard it all before, but here is my story.  I was 14 years old, and it was a week before my 15th birthday.  I was severely depressed and decided I was done with everything.  I wrote my suicide note and planned it all out.  Your song Hold On came started playing on a CD mix I had made.  I stopped and really listened to the lyrics.  I decided to just take it day by day and see how I felt.  I decided to write your band a thank you letter… me, being my stupid self, included the suicide note to show that you guys had really helped me.  About 3 days later my mom gets a call from NYC, and your manager is on the phone reading my note to her.  He read her everything, and she lost it (we were driving some place too). She pulled over and we talked for an hour and decided it was time for me to get help.  The day of my birthday I received a package on my front doorstep.  It was overnighted from NYC, and the contents included a signed photo of your band, a signed Young and the Hopeless CD, and a video tape of Motivation Proclamation.  I cried out of joy, and so did my mom.  I don’t know if you guys ever received the actual thank you letter, but I want to say thank you.  6 years later I am alive, well, and very happy.  I still love your music, and listen to it all the time.  From the bottom of my heart I thank you, and I thank your manager for finding my phone number and calling my mom.  Without that push I would not have gotten the help I needed, and who knows where I would be today.
